CARE  (University-wide resource) is here to support all Tufts students (on all campuses) who have been impacted by sexual violence regardless of the time or location the experience took place. CARE is confidential, which means if you have concerns related to issues of sexual violence, you can talk to CARE without being identified to the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO).

With complete confidentiality, CARE can offer you:

  • Trauma-informed emotional support
  • Transportation to and from a local hospital to get a forensic medical exam ("rape kit")
  • Discussion of your options
  • Safety planning
  • Help with anonymous reporting
  • Information on reporting options
  • Support in writing a complaint or response to a complaint
  • Connecting you to an off-campus mental health provider
  • Safer sex supplies
  • Trauma-informed educational materials
  • Information about other services on campus (e.g. how to get a counselor at CMHS)

With your consent, CARE can collaborate with campus partners to help with:

  • Academic support/flexibility
  • Housing changes (if you no longer feel safe in your space)
  • No-Contact Orders
  • Access to mental and physical healthcare services on and off campus
  • Formal complaints to OEO
  • File criminal reports with TUPD
  • Access to legal resources

Tufts Health Services  (University Wide with Health Fee Payment) offers STI testing and emergency contraception during their hours and will provide students with taxi vouchers to go to the hospital.

Tufts Counseling and Mental Health Services (University Wide with Health Fee Payment) is a confidential resource that offers free counseling.

Student Advisory & Health Administration (Boston/Grafton) - During normal business hours, this office provides short‐term confidential counseling for personal problems, academic concerns, career indecision, increased self‐awareness, stress management, anxiety, and family and interpersonal issues. There are NO medical services provided at this office.

Tufts University Chaplaincy (University-wide resource) is a confidential resource at Tufts that is open to people of all religious denominations.

Talk One2One Counseling Service is a confidential resource available to students on the Boston Health Sciences Campus. To schedule an appointment for nonemergent concerns, send a message to the secure, confidential group email account, tuftscounseling@allonehealth.com, or call 800-756-3124. For crisis or urgent assistance, the toll-free number is available 24/7.
