Green Dot Trainings
Green Dot Training for 2024-2025
Green Dot is a student-led movement that focuses on skill building, culture change and large-scale social commitment to prevention. Our goal is to provide education, trainings, and skills so anyone can be an active bystander and interrupt concerning behaviors. We are centered around options as we encourage you to find comfortable, healthy ways to look out for youself and your peers.
There are 4 types of trainings available in 2024-2025:
1. TCU mandated Green Dot trainings for Student Organizations
In February 2023, TCU (Tufts Community Union) amended their Constitution through a majority student vote to include: “All TCU recognized student clubs and organizations will be required to attend a Green Dot training at least once per academic year.” The clause provides that for every 10 members of a TCU-recognized student organization, at least one member of the club’s executive board must attend a Green Dot training and provide attendance records to the TCU Green Dot liaison. Those who attend the Green Dot training are then required to facilitate a scheduled discussion of the materials covered in the training to their entire organization. Those that fail to comply will be ineligible for TCU funding and recognition.
